Waiver of Appearance and Release of Information
The Waiver of Appearance and Release of Information form is used for representation in nearly every NC speeding ticket case as well as in other criminal court cases. The Waiver of Appearance is a convenient pleading that allows the Attorney to appear in court on your behalf, negotiate with the District Attorney, appear before the Judge, and resolve your matter without requiring your presence in court. The Release of Information is an important document that allows the Attorney to obtain your driving record. By obtaining and analyzing your driving history, the Attorney can develop the best strategy for your particular case to prevent or reduce the impact on your license and insurance as much as possible. We have consolidated both documents into one form for your convenience. The form can be returned by fax, email, or postal mail.

North Carolina Court Calendars
North Carolina maintains its court calendars online on the NC Court System website. It offers a variety of ways to find your court date, although most people will find their case by name or citation number. The site also provides different civil and criminal court calendars, as well as an option to search the charging officer's court date. These tools are extremely helpful for attorney's offices, but can also be helpful for defendants who have lost their ticket or were granted a continuance but don't know their new court date. Be careful though, past court dates will no longer show up in the system.

North Carolina's Safe Driver Incentive Plan (SDIP)
The North Carolina Department of Insurance regulates North Carolina insurance companies. Based on that authority, it regulates North Carolina Insurance Points. N.C. insurance points are based on the Safe Driver Incentive Plan, commonly known as the NC SDIP. Based on that plan, insurance companies can assess a limited number of points for convictions on moving violations. The insurance points determine the percentage that the driver's insurance premiums may increase as a result of the conviction. You can read more about insurance points here.
